Catered for our Wedding in September at Poulaphouca house. Our guests still speak so highly of them. Food was Michelin star standard.

Had a family wedding in Coolbawn Quay on the 26th of April, the food was just amazing !! The 3 cooks were 1000% on flavour, presention and amazing produce! Could not recommend them highly enough

Had my 40th birthday party here on the 1st of August and have to say from start to checkout the next morning everything was absolutely perfect, couldn’t fault the place in anyway.

Dan (the owner) is so easy to work with and made sure everything went as smooth as possible with the current situation around us all.

We got a 3 course meal for our guests with beautiful options from starters, mains and desserts (featherblade of beef is not to be missed wow) all of our guests could not stop talking about the food…. the food at any party is the main thing to get right in my opinion and this place is 5 star.

All the staff are also a credit to the Poulaphouca house, always on hand for table service and went out of there way for anything we needed at the party, we were in the newly renovated Falls restaurant which has an outdoor bar area which is fantastic for any party.

We also rented out the main house with 6 guest rooms all en-suite and all newly refurbished…. I was nearly booking in for an another night the beds and pillow ms are that comfy 😂.

Just a big thank you to Dan and all his staff, we had a wonderful night and so did our guests…. so lucky to have this local too us as well, anytime I see the beef featheblade on the menu I think I’ll be booking a table 😁

My best friend and I ate at the Poulaphouca restaurant a few times and it was an amazing evening everytime. The food was really good and the staff is very friendly. If you are in this area, you should definitly visit the Poulaphouca restaurant or bar

Coolbawn Quay is a truly beautiful place.

From our first visit, meeting staff, strolling the grounds and sampling the food we knew there was going to be no other place than Coolbawn Quay for our wedding.

Our Wedding Day was in the midst of the pandemic, however Coolbawn Quay provided a wonderful experience for us and all our guests. The venue is on the shores of Lough Derg with a cottage village for all to stay in. The food was the best we’ve experienced in any wedding venue and the mood was relaxed while also ensuring everybody was well looked after.

We would recommend Coolbawn Quay as the only destination for anyone getting married or just looking for a lovely couple of nights away of ease and relaxation. We are very much looking forward to returning there for many years to come
